3D mixes and productions is what I do. The Britson is the perfect choice for a warm, fat, 3Dimensional sound and wherever you are taking your listeners in 3D space. I use it mostly as first plugin on the mixbus. A second Britson usually is last plugin on the post on the masterbus. As different songs and music styles are different, so are the ways I use the Britson consoles and they always sound great!

Britson is an excellent 0VU leveling tool, and for grouping some parameters (trim, saturators), very pleasant to use. The bus crosstalk gives an impressive cohesion to the mix, by unifying the various sources immersed in a complex stereo. The ocean becomes landscape…
Listening with good input signal level is essential to appreciate it, hence the Britson channel. Once the resulting spatial image has been formed by the Britson busses, it may then be interesting to widen the stereo master slightly.

Hi I really like the ease of use and especially the sound of the plugin.
I love grouping my drums ,guitars , and vocals and using the master buss to control the color of each group !! The only complaint I have is that I tried the free trial of the Burnley and I put it on some tracks and when I shut down I lost all the tracks the Burnley was on !! I love the sound it produced but was very disappointed loosing all those tracks. I wish I could have bought the package deal you had but I didn’t have the extra money. But as far as the Britson I love it

I bought this not knowing if it was going to be any different from the level / saturation adjustments in the many channel strip plugins I own. I can tell you with confidence that it is much better than the channel strips. All I did is read the short pdf manual to make sure I understood what was going on and I went for it. I was so pleased with the Sonimus Satson that I picked up the Britson at first opportunity. Both plugins are amazing, but I find the Britson a bit richer and pleasing when used for summing across all my busses. In terms of sound, I’d change nothing about either, they add beautifully subtle depth and richness to the final mix. Crossing my fingers for updates to the GUI’s, though as they are quite tiny on a 4K display. But the sound!

This summing channel is just awesome. It gives the glue you need when groups are applied. For example if you sum drums and bass you can hear the difference inmediatly. It sounds like “summing”. This is an excellent plug in, geared to the sophisticated vintage audiophile out there. The effects are subtle but distinct and the ease of use is wonderful. During mixing, what might sound as though the Britson is barely working…patience. On playback, the Britson brings out the lows in detail and helps everything sit right in the mix. Oh yeah, I did use the Britson as a Gain Stage tool and it worked well. The real pleasure was in the second instance of use when I could play with the sound. Great Plugin!

Having resisted the call of the Britson initially, I am pleasantly surprised over the tonal richness this plug-in imparts to mixes; noticeably mitigating and lifting those flat lifeless stems and recordings I often deal with in production, remixing, and premastering. The grouping function on the Buss version and the ability to increase or decrease the amount of gain/drive on multiple instances via one panel is typical of innovative design that is practical and done right. A very low CPU and wallet hit, for such a great tool, highly recommended;
PS – I have progressively updated many of my production signal chains with more and more Sonimus plug-ins, replacing other plugins and systems that cost a great deal more.

Does exactly what the manufacturer claims and does it extremely well! In a blind test using the same mix – one with no stem bus processing (just straight to the stereo bus chain), one with stem busses using the new Universal Audio Neve Summing extension in Luna and one with stem busses using Britson, two engineer friends and myself all favored the mix which was run through the Britson! At $39 vs $299 (for the UA extension), it’s nearly impossible to argue. Even if you own the UA extension, to have another summing option of such amazing quality and execution for such a low price is stunning.

I am very pleased with all of my Sonimus products, they are inspired by my favourite analogue classics, yet bring something that is distinctly Sonimus to the world of plugins.
