These EQ’s are easy in use (while I’m still learning how to use them;)), they all have their own character and made my recording tracks sound better.

  2. Joshua Barwick (verified owner)

Experienced engineers and producers will love this bundle for streamlining your recording and mixing process by having a complete set of all the bread-and-butter that’s necessary for equalization. Having hundreds of plugins to choose from forces you to stop and think about which to use – hindering the connection to whatever divine muse of creativity you are channeling – these keep you in the zone. With these, you don’t have to stop to think “is this plugin double-click, alt-click, right-click, or control-click, or mouse-wheel?” You don’t have to think about which emulation to choose because these are all immaculate. These eliminate trial-and-error, saving your valuable time, and always sounds better than you imagined. Plus, your albums will have consistency of sound, making it easier for your audience to listen from start to finish.
New artists and engineers will save a ton of money (that should be invested in acoustical treatment, monitors, headphones, and subwoofer, etc. – not plugins!). You will have these classic emulations, which are easiest to learn with because of the abundance of information on Neve 1073, SSL 4K, Pultec, API. Plus the Sonimus manuals are some of the most helpful to master their plugins (not as thorough as, say, Tokyo Dawn, but Sonimus plugins are much easier to use and learn from). Once you master these, you’ll have a far more capable grasp of any new EQ plugins you decide to add to your arsenal. Forget about buying and learning every over-hyped plugin that’s on sale – learn these and you’ll get your music sounding how you want it, much, much quicker. You will forget what “preset” means and develop your own unique sound just by turning knobs. The enthusiasm you will gain from hearing your sounds come alive will encourage you to persist in your music career.
Burnley73: You are doing your listener a favor by giving them the Neve sound that they are so familiar with from decades of hit records. Their brains will not require as many regions to be activated (less energy = less stress) to hear something that is familiar than something that is new, making them more comfortable as soon as your song starts. Similar to the excitement of seeing an old friend compared to the skepticism of meeting a stranger. You can just put Burnley73 on every track, you don’t even have to touch the settings, and your audience will be more receptive to your recordings (thanks neuroscience… and whatever science Sonimus uses to recreate this highly sought-after sound!). It’s more versatile and than the slightly artificial-sounding but still beautiful VPRE-73. British Class A is nice but I’m sick of supporting whatever glutinous habits Softube has to need so much money for.
StonEQ 4K: like Burnley73, your listener will be instantly comfortable when listening to your music because of familiarity with the SSL sound, making them less resistant to your music. You get the best SSL tricks for surgical EQ in one plugin without having to mess around with useless parameters. It destroys all the Brainworx consoles (excuse me while I regain the dignity I’ve lost from paying for these), Waves (excuse me while I massage the vein popping from my forehead), Slate (excuse me while I degrease the bile from my ears), and even the SSL Native channel strip.
Sweetone: You don’t have to think about which plugin to grab for shaping your tone. This will get you in the ballpark and hitting home runs extremely fast.
SonEQ family: For Pultec magic and API excitement, you’ve got enough flavors here to master the EQ coloration that your favorite songs have been using for decades. Not to mention the unbelievably gorgeous saturation that turns any sound into ear candy.
This is how to get the tones that have inspired you to start making music. You will have a difficult time scouring the internet for a bad review on any Sonimus plugin. You will also have a difficult time overloading your CPU (for tracking and mixing – I’m not a mastering engineer so can’t comment; I have a diploma in audio engineering and have spent 8 years doing sound and audio for film and television, plus hundreds of hours of music produced). Email the company with any questions and you will be treated like family. I’ve already said too much. Just read the manuals and give them a try!
p.s. Sonimus plugins are the only thing I’ve ever given reviews for – no, I don’t vote or click thumbs up or thumbs down buttons. It would be a crime against music to withhold the benefits and joy that Sonimus has given me. So you know that I’m not biased: I also love other EQ plugins (PSP E27, BRA KH-EQ1, Apogee, Acustica, Big FrEQ, Soothe2, Gullfoss, DDMF, Noiseash, TDR, EQuivocate – don’t feel the need to invest in DMG or Magpha yet), but I would be just as happy and able (and probably a much better engineer) if I only had this bundle (and TDR Nova).

some of the best neve, ssl, and pultec emulations at a fraction of the cost. was able to get some incredible snare and kick tones right away! i like to set the hpf on the ssl clone at around 150, with a low shelf around 220 on my vocal bus and it clears up the mud without losing too much body! thanks sonimus!

For the price I really can’t argue. I’ve been making music for over 10 years. I’ve only just started buying plugins, my music always lacked a certain thickness to them. This has certainly helped.
