Sominus does tube saturation right. This is one of my most used compressors. Sounds fantastic on drum buss, vocals, acoustic guitars, etc. Can add that special sauce to almost any signal.
Just hits right. I own some great hardware Neve style preamps and eqs. Love the sound. In the box, this is probably my favorite Neve emu. Just like the hardware, this eq is simple, saturates beautifully, and sounds big.
Adds dimension and weight to the sound. Low CPU. Best of all, I never have any problems with Sonimus plugins. They always just work and they always sound great.
On one hand, the incredibly simple UI makes it very easy to use. On the other hand, it’s almost every simplistic for users that do understand DSP architecture, and the circuitry topology of Neve consoles. Falling into the latter camp myself, I was skeptical of the VU meter calibration function because the available information does not clearly specify whether the calibration is only for driving the VU, or if the calibration also adjusts the input gain of the plugin itself in order to optimize the modeling behavior and sonic result. So far, it seems that the VU calibration is affecting the level going into the plugin, but given how subtle this plugin is overall, I can’t say for certain. It DOES sound like a good Neve desk. I just wish they gave use a more comprehensive layer or page to the UI to understand what is actually going on.
It sounds good so far! No complains about the quality. As a younger mixing engineer coming from the ITB era I would love to have a preset section to see what others would use the plugins on. Since I never used a real console I’m not always sure what this can offer to my workflow. Used the A-console on some horns but the T-Console hasn’t been used in a real mix yet. Maybe some tips and tricks in the manual would be nice! I know Bob Horn use these a lot and I bet he would be down to make
some presets for it! You probably know other great engineers that would be down.
I also found the license activation with the terminal scripts a little messy and unpractical compared to say iLok. I am used to the terminal but to other who’s never been in there a script may seem kinda sketchy.
Then we come to the demoing which I read about in a Gearspace thread. For me 2 of your consoles for 79 dollars was a real gamble. Maybe I don’t end up using the T-Console in my workflow and because of that and a demo of 30 days would have been great in that case. I doubt I could get my money back if I end up not finding a use
case for it?
I understand your concerns with the licensing keys and understand you don’t want your plugins cracked. But you should focus on the customers thats actually paying for your services. Plugins get cracked anyways it’s just a matter of time and effort for the crackers.
Anyways feel free to ask any question regarding my feedback.
Wow! Excellent! Both emulations have a distinct yet familiar, iconic sound. Easy to set up, warm analogue glue for your DAW! Instant harmonic content enhancement and dynamic control with added width and depth. Mixing is so much easier now!
This plug in makes all the difference in the world to my mixes. Not only does it give me that analogue vibe that is “chewy” and full, it really helps me to get my gain staging right at the mixing stage. My only regret is that I should have got the N-Console at the same time! 100% recommended.
There’s a lack of good SSL styled summing plugins and the Waves version doesn’t sound as authentic to my ears. I didn’t give it a 5 rating because it (Satson) wasn’t as feature robust as A Console or some of the newer Sonimus summing plugins. Best SSL summing plugin on the market though (that I’ve found).
Very good, i can feel a pretty good analog vibe

Very musical. Love the saturation. Subtle moves make huge differences to the sound. Enjoying much more than other API style eqs I have.
easy and efficient
the man that supported on phone was nice thanks
Love what it does to my tracks. Chewy and smooth analogue goodness in a plugin. Easy to use interface. Brilliant.
Really good analog emulation

Sounds like an actual mixing console

Its everything that was promised
A touch of analog life in my DAW ….
