The SonEQ Pro is the best sounding EQ I own and have used for many years now, thank you Sonimus! The second “low” button (for attenuation) is heaven! It makes it so easy to remove any mud from vocals or just anything. Then a little cut on the “Low Mid” set around 900 Hz. What is left sounds so warm and tight with smooth highs, unbeatable! Then set the HP filter in the right position to smooth out the lows and give it some gain to make it sit in the mix and just listen!
Dear Sonimus, I have one request though, would you please consider to upgrade the appearance of the SonEQ Pro with a UI Scale (like you did on the A-EQ from 80% to 150%)? That would fill in the 5th star that you obviously deserve. On today’s modern high resolution screens the UI looks a bit tiny! Or is there a trick to do that already that I haven’t found out yet? That would make my life complete, please leave the sound just as it is, it’s just wonderful!
At first glance, it may not seem like the most versatile compressor where you can adjust individual parameters in detail, but it’s definitely one the most used compressors in my projects now. The “basic knobs” help you focus more on the project and the music, and the resulting sound after compression is very pleasing. Drive knob is… WOW! I might have liked a bigger UI.
A really well-made plugin, which I think I will always put in my projects. The only thing that can be a bit tricky is the vu meter setting, which is not always easy to choose
The many positive reviews made me decide to just take the risk and buy it without demo’ing it (I could not find a link to a demo on the site, i took a a star off to sanction this omission hehe….) . It was well worth it. This plugin which is actually a set of different modules is really impressive. It genuinely creates a sense of depth and weight in your mix. That “3d” kind of feeling that we crave when working in the box and usually takes a lot of effort to recreate, it delivers that. A console style vibe. In a way that is not gimmicky (like another plugin company I won’t mention ;) but actually dead simple. The saturation and coloring is really convincing and pleasing to the ear. Put it on the every track and/or bus and master.
Smooth filtering and saturation. All that is missing is a bypass, so we can easily hear before and after. Also I like how Console A, you right click to access the drive features. Other than those two things, the sound is great.
It’s not as intuitive as Britson anymore; maybe I really have to get used to it. Especially not the Bus component, the old coloration choices are more hidden now (one has to tilt the old head to read them). The sound is really good though, so very happy in that regard, and the additional features are generally great and welcome.
Good sound and easy to manipulate. When “grouping Master” it is great to tune all Bus or/and channels, but (i did not find) just pitty that I may not automate the faders. By choosing this product, You will get a great console for low cost ^^
Satson is definitely my favourite SSL console emulation in comparison to Waves & Slate Digital’s emulations of similar consoles.
I must say there is a bit of a high end EQ boost on the Satson Buss component which I feel is a bit excessive but maybe thats the sound of the console and there is something Im missing. I rolled a little bit of the high end off on the master with the StonEQ4k LPFilter and its PERFECT. I also started utilizing the Satson CS console insert instead of the Satson Channel component and Im loving that.
Im excited to see if Sonimus deliver an S-Console upgrade as the new N-Console (previously Britson) is epic and for now has replaced my use of Satson. All in all I still love the sound and what Sonimus is doing.
I’ve liked almost all the products I’ve downloaded from Sominus, but the lack of oversampling has kept me from using them on all of my mixes. However, this has changed with N-Console. The new design (now with oversampling) sounds crisp and clean – exactly what I was hoping for. The added features (the new 3 modes of the ‘Push’ feature) gives me that fat presence I was looking for in an analog console sund. Nice job Sominus!
So far so good. So far I am optimistic about the product and results its going to create. My tests thus far indicate that it was a worth while investment.
About to try out on my first master so will keen to see how it goes !
Good plugin for the price , easy to use and light for CPU ! Very nice , for exemple with “Maschine ” Thank you .

It’s just not the same without it.

Great pallet for creating a mix.
One of the best Neve console emulation. Great sounds ad very easy to use. Useful for a properly gain staging.

Great plugin! It would be ideal if the Buss module had an additional volume control, like on the Channel module!
