N-Console is the newest addition to our console emulation family. It is the evolution of one of our most beloved plugins. We took the great analogue sound from Britson and added new and exciting features for a whole new and updated console emulation.

In this article, we want to show you the new features that will help you take your productions to a new sonic level.

2 in 1

The new modular structure from Sonimus brings together both the Channel and the Buss instances under the same plugin. Now you can add N-Console to all your channels at once and then decide which one you want to use in each type or track. No more browsing through your plugins or copying between tracks.

On top of that, you can now activate the Master Grouping in a Channel or Buss instance, making N-Console even more flexible. Control your whole mix from the groups and decide whether you want to use the features from the Buss or Channel instance for your Master track by simply flipping the module.

Oversampling

Oversampling is a must-have for any modern-day plugin. Introduced in Satson Channel Strip, we are committed to adding this feature in all our plugins, and N-Console wasn’t going to stay behind. Oversampling up to 16 brings the sound of classic analogue consoles to your mixes without compromising the audio quality of your sessions.

Push it

In the same way, as we did with A-Console, we have included Push on N-Console. This button reduces the dynamic range of our signal, by pushing the gain by 5 dB (warm) or 10 dB (hot) into the preamp section of the plugin, colouring the sound, adding presence and obtaining warmer tones. Combining this feature with the original FAT mode from Britson, N-Console provides a whole range of saturation options for your tracks.

More Control: Mix & Output

The extra settings panel from N-Console is accessed by clicking on the gear icon under the Push button. It shows some of the classic extra controls from Britson like “Trim as drive” for even more saturation options and filters and metering pre or post-fader. But it also provides two new controls: mix and output volume. These are especially useful when operating N-Console as a saturator or having a deeper control of your gain staging.

GUI scaling

Finally, last but not least, we have updated the plugin GUI from Britson and added scaling so it can adapt to any screen size or user workflow.
