Impressive character & minimal design. The two main knobs work like an LA2A with compression and output gain. The four stage switch of ratio & attack seems limited but it turns out it’s all I need for a variety of applications. It was a good idea to have a dedicated release knob, to match the groove of the song. The drive does wonders to limit the untamed peaks that escape the main circuit. Smooth soft clipping which preserves valuable headroom for the rest of the mix.
Sounds great on practically everything. Drums (from transparent taming to aggressive envelope shaping), bass, perfect on piano, cello, acoustic guitars, wind instruments and more. It is the first compressor I reach for in a mix and usually it stays there. Beautiful GUI too.

My favourite version of SSL 4k EQ. It was a great idea to combine both the brown and black version. It can get from smooth to very surgical. Having used an actual SSL 4kE for some time, I instantly feel comfortable with this tool and it can get me the sound I want in seconds. I am also very impressed with its saturation knob. It is ideal for soft-clipping offensive transients very transparently. Snares and toms in a busy mix, bass etc. Beautiful GUI too.

My most used plugin. I have it on almost every track, in every project. The first one I install when I get a new computer. Sweet neve preamp, smooth EQ. An integral part of my sound as a mixing engineer. I like the GUI too. Very comfortable to use.

Lovely tone, maybe most hardware alike harmonics I’ve tried on a plugin … but I don’t know too much hardware, just a couple of EQ and drives

At first tests it’s great. I currently use Lindell L80 but I think I will start using Britson or both

I’ve just started using this plugin on a current project and so far I’m absolutely in love with it. I bought it based on recommendations I ran across on multiple online forums for getting that beautiful warm and full Neve 1073 tone in the box. Could not be happier at the moment and looking forward to using it more and more.

One of the plugins I use in almost any of my mastering sessions is the SonEQ Pro by Sonimus. It's a $59 dollar plugin and a great addition to my $13.000,- SPL equalizer. But if I had to choose between only one of them...

Sonimus has impressed us with its desk emulations, Satson and Britson, and analogue-style SonEQ Pro, and its latest Neve-inspired plugin feels like a logical next step.

As well as the effects these plugin units add up to the sound, I can tell they were fully considering the work-flow simplicity and speed.

I’ve been playing with these over the last month or so and a few of these are really becoming favorites. I also like the fact that there’s no lock requirement. Registration is done via a registry update in Windows and that’s something I’ve never seen before. It’s quite clever.
